Pittsburgh Travel Guides Launch on Amazon.com
When It’s Time to Travel, Wenger
Has You Covered
PITTSBURGH
– Local Communications and Public Relations guru, turned guide book author,
Kristin (Mitchell) Wenger, unveiled two Pittsburgh travel guides.
Wenger
teamed up with CZYK Publishing from Mill Hall, Pennsylvania on two of its most
popular travel series. Eat Like A Local – Pittsburgh edition, her
first book, was published in November 2020 and includes the best eateries
around the city. And Greater Than A Tourist covers tips for first-time
visitors and was issued last month.
“Kristin
did an excellent job writing the books Eat Like A Local and Greater
Than A Tourist. Her enthusiasm for Pittsburgh is obvious as she loves
helping those who are curious about her hometown,” Lisa Rusczyk, founder of
CZYK Publishing, said.
“Her
passion for the subject has been shown through extensive research done for each
book. Not only did she present eating like a local, but she also included
entertainment options and advice for visitors. I truly enjoyed working with
her, and I hope to work with her again.”
“I
discovered Lisa’s requests for a guide book author through a freelance site,
submitted proposals, and was thrilled when she accepted my work,” Wenger said.
“I had so much fun writing these books as I love telling Pittsburgh’s story to
the world.”
Wenger,
formerly the Marketing Communications Director for VisitPITTSBURGH, was
recently hired by Baker Public Relations as Senior Account Director for its
Pittsburgh office.
These
handy guides make great gifts for both visitors and locals alike. To order

CONNEAUT NATIVE NARRATES TOUR GUIDE TO
ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA
Book includes tips in Conneaut
Greater
Than A Tourist—Erie, Pennsylvania, edited and narrated by Conneaut native
Joanne Horwood Turner, has just been released in print, e-book and audiobook
formats.
Published
by CZYK Publishing in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, the Greater Than A Tourist series
features tour guides written by a resident or native of the destination. As
publisher Lisa Rusczyk explains the Greater Than A Tourist series gives you
“candid travel tips from someone who has lived” at the destination.
Publisher
Rusczyk conceived for the Greater Than A Tourist series while on her honeymoon
in Malta, where a native offered her advice based on his own experience living
on the island. After talking with him, she realized how much locals have to
share with tourists, and how passionate they are about sharing their advice.
Greater
Than A Tourist includes 50 tips about places to visit and things to do in and
around Erie. According to author Mark
Chrzanowski, even life-long residents of Erie will find a new place to visit, a
new restaurant to try, or learn something new about an old favorite spot.
In
addition to 50 tips in and around Erie itself, Greater Than A Tourist includes
more than 30 bonus tips of things within easy driving distance of Erie,
including Conneaut’s D-Day Reenactment, the North Coast World War II History
Museum, and the Conneaut Historical Railroad Museum.
Narrator
and Conneaut native Joanne Horwood Turner, a retired college professor,
attorney and judge, has recorded numerous books and shorter projects for
Librivox.org and ACX, the recording arm of Audible. She lives in Minnesota.
The print version of Greater Than A Tourist—Erie, Pennsylvania is available
wherever books are sold. The e-book version is available from Amazon.
The audiobook version is available from ACX.com, Amazon, and Audible.com.
